Schneereicher Januar / Snowy January

Das erste Kalb in 2015! / The first calf in 2015!

Im Januar stand viel Bueroarbeit an ("Ich liebe Buchhaltung!"), und wir haben Projekte fuer 2015 geplant. Ausserdem haben wir fleissig Gaeste gebucht. Es schneite regelmaessig, so dass wir endlich mal wieder das Schneemobil nutzen konnten. Wobei die Kater (s.u.) allerdings andere Fahrzeuge bevorzugen.

There was lots of office work to be done in January ("I love book keeping!"), and we planned projects for 2015. We also booked many guests for the coming season. Outside it snowed quite a bit so that we could use the snow mobile again. Even though the toms prefer other vehicles (see below).

Januar war auch der Countdown fuer unseren dreiwoechigen Neuseelandurlaub im Februar. Wir wollten Nicks Tochter Brandy und ihre Familie besuchen, die jetzt dort auf einer Ranch leben. Mehr dazu im naechsten Blog. Zum Glueck bat sich unser Nachbar an, die Ranch und Tiere zu versorgen und nach Nicks Mutter JoAnn zu schauen.

January was also the countdown for our 3-week New Zealand vacation. We wanted to visit Nick's daughter Brandy and her family who now live on a ranch down there. More about that in the next blog. Luckily our neighbor offered to take care of the ranch and animals and check in with Nick's mom JoAnn.
