Eldon, Michael und Dirk sind leider abgereist. Dafuer ist Annett gekommen. Rudi und Vanessa haben Nick heute beim Zaeunebauen geholfen. Britta, Sabine und Romina brauchten eine Shopping-Therapie und sind mit mir in die Stadt gefahren. Heute Abend findet der Hulett-Rodeotanz statt, morgen ist Rodeo.

Unfortunately Eldon, Michael and Dirk had to leave. Annett arrived. Rudi and Vanessa helped Nick with fencing today. Britta, Sabine and Romina needed some retail therapy and accompanied me to town. Tonite there is the Hulett rodeo dance and tomorrow the rodeo.

The days are flying by. Now summer has begun here as well. On Wednesday I had to bring Heinz and Annika to the airport. I picked up Rudi. On Saturday Sonja, Katrin, Anja, Alex and Martin left. And Eldon, Dirk, Michael, Sabine, Romina and Britta arrived.

Barbara cut her knee open with a grinding wheel and I had to bring her to the emergency room in Spearfish since there is no doctor in Hulett and the road to Sundance had slid off the side of the mountain. We drove 1.5 hours, the wound had to be stitched, and Barbara cannot ride nor work for a while which drives her nuts ;-)

We are pretty busy: riding, moving cattle, shooting, roping, putting up the tipi, building tables for the BBQ spot at the lake, seeding, loading and selling hay ... and we even made it to Mount Rushmore and Deadwood.

The only thing we haven't done, yet is grilling at the lake. But that's on the plan for this week.

Endlich Sommer in New Haven / Finally summer in New Haven

Die Tage fliegen dahin. Jetzt hat auch hier der Sommer begonnen. Am Mittwoch musste ich leider Heinz und Annika zum Flughafen bringen. Dafuer habe ich Rudi abgeholt. Am Samstag sind Sonja, Katrin, Anja, Alex und Martin abgereist. Angekommen sind Eldon, Dirk, Michael, Sabine, Romina und Britta.

Barbara schnitt sich mit dem Schleifgeraet ins Knie, und ich musste sie ins Krankenhaus nach Spearfish bringen, da es in Hulett keinen Arzt gibt und die Strasse nach Sundance den Berg runtergerutscht ist. Wir fuhren 1,5 Stunden, die Wunde wurde genaeht, aber Barbara darf erstmal nicht reiten und arbeiten, was sie jetzt schon rasend macht ;-)

Wir haben viel zu tun: Reiten, Rinder treiben, Schiessen, Ropen, das Tipi aufbauen, Tische fuer den Grillplatz bauen, endlich die Saat ausbringen, Heu laden und verkaufen ... und am Mount Rushmore und in Deadwood waren wir auch.

Nur zum Grillen am See sind wir noch nicht gekommen. Aber das steht fuer diese Woche auf dem Plan.
