Lama mit Identitaetskrise / Lama with identity crisis

It has snowed a lot again and the girls (Brandy, Nikki and Tina) painted the lodge. I did office work all day and almost forgot to write the blog again. So it'll be something short about something odd ... a lama.

When we were driving around the corner along a neighbors property, this lama jumped the fence and ran towards us ... not because it wanted to commit suicide but either because it was curious or because it wanted to protect "its" sheep. We left the windows shut, just in case.

Here lamas are often used to protect sheep. They react very aggressively towards predators. And yes, they can spit far. When Nick and I still lived on the other ranch, we kept lamas that ran with the sheep. Horses need time to get used to the sight of these weird looking animals: Some get close to a heart attack ...

We once had a lama which always left the sheep again ... it had an identity crisis and thought it was a deer. Just the same as our tame peacock who ran with wild turkeys. But that's another story ...

Viele Gruesse aus dem Wilden Westen!
