Schafe zaehlen / Counting sheep

We’ll be in town today – Rapid City, two and a half hours away. Katrin is going to fly back to Germany. And in January to New Zealand … that’s quite a nice way to distract oneself from Wyoming homesickness. While Nick is already planning his stay at Menards, a big home depot (5 hours and more are normal), I did not want to let you go without a photo.

We also have sheep, pretty big Columbia-Rambouillet mixes, and they all still have their long tail. Our neighbors laugh at Nick but if he wants to stay married, he does not have a choice. Yes, we butcher some of them once in a while (very delicious) but till then they don’t need to suffer. My sheep don’t have any health problems despite their tails. And as you can see, they are very good at posing for a picture … even though an undercover billie goat somehow moved in from the right.

Gruesse aus dem Wilden Westen!
