Hilfe fuer Babe / Safe Babe

This morning I came into the corral and almost stumbled across two new born twin lambs. One already drank but the other one was still wet from the birth and cold and could not get up anymore. Nick milked the ewe and Tina (with Ronja's help) fed "Babe" the valuable mother milk ... in our warm kitchen.

A few hours later both lambs were already jumping around happily. Amazing how fast so called precotial animals are able to survive even under dire circumstances. Normally lambs are not born in winter. This is my fault because I left ram Muhackl in the herd and now he flirts with the ewes whenever he choses to. One should think that nature would take care of it ...
