Innerhalb von Stunden fielen die Temperaturen von 0 auf minus 15 Grad. Nick und ich haben den ganzen Morgen gefuettert und fuer Kunden Heu geladen. Dann kamen Mike und Kathy aus Sued-Wyoming - sie sind Brandons Eltern und bleiben fuer ein paar Tage. Sie bekommen alle paar Monate Sehnsucht nach Emmett, ihrem Enkel.
Within a few hours the temperatures dropped from 32 degrees Fahrenheit to zero. Nick and I fed the whole morning and loaded hay for customers. Then Mike and Kathy came from Southern Wyoming - they are Brandon's parents and will stay for a few days. Every couple of months or so they just have to see Emmett, their grandchild.
Brandon kam kurz vor Dunkelheit mit einem neuen Pferd zurueck, Pinkerton, ein huebscher 10-jaehriger Schimmel, den ich Euch morgen vorstellen werde. Heute war es schon zu dunkel. Das Foto oben hat die Vorbesitzerin gemacht. Hoffentlich ueberleben die neuen Laemmer ... sie sind noch nicht sehr kraeftig. Bin muede, die Kaelte macht schon einen Unterschied, besonders wenn man draussen arbeitet.
Brandon came back just before dark, with a new horse, Pinkerton, a pretty 10 year old gray who I will show you tomorrow. Today it was already too dark. The photo above was taken by the previous owner. Hopefully the new lambs will survive ... they aren't very strong, yet. Am tired, the cold makes a difference especially when you work outside.
