Einige von Euch sind schon laenger nicht mehr hier gewesen. Hier einige Neuerungen auf einen Blick: Wir haben einen Badesee, in dem man auch Forellen angeln kann. Tretboote, eine Feuerstelle (links), wo wir einmal pro Woche grillen. Ein Tipi zum Uebernachten und ein Outhouse (rechts), englisch fuer Clo mit Grube ;-)
Some of you haven't been here recently. Here some of the new things: We have a swimming lake in which you can catch trout as well. Pedal boats, a camp fire site (left) where we grill once a week. A tipi for overnight stays and an outhouse (right).
Tina besteht darauf, dass ich Euch von ihrem Ritt auf Juno erzaehle ... sie und Nick sind mit Ronja rausgefahren, um die Herde zu fuettern, die sich in zwei Teile aufgespalten hatte. Anstatt einen Teil per Fahrzeug zum anderen zu treiben, entschied sich Tina dafuer, auf Juno zu springen und mit ihm die Pferde zusammenzutreiben - ohne Sattel und nur mit Halfter. Die Herde fing ploetzlich an zu galoppieren, Tina konnte Juno nicht halten, der dann auch noch am Berg ein paar froehliche Bockspruenge zum Besten gab. Tina konnte sich so gerade oben halten, Nick und sie hielten das Ganze fuer ein herrliches Abenteuer ... und ich frage mich nicht zum ersten Mal, ob Ronja und ich die einzigen vernuenftigen Leute auf dieser Ranch sind ... Ronja (die jetzt deutsch und englisch zur gleichen Zeit spricht) stimmt mir voll und ganz zu.
Tina wants me to tell you about her ride on Juno ... she, Nick and Ronja drove out to feed the herd which had seperated into two parts. Instead of moving them together with the help of the vehicle, Tina decided to jump onto Juno and move the horse with him - without a saddle and with only a halter. Suddenly the herd started to canter. Tina could not hold Juno who was so happy he needed to buck a little - right on the hillside. Tina barely managed to stay on but she and Nick thought this to be a great adventure ... and I am asking myself not for the first time whether Ronja and I are the only sensible people on this ranch ... Ronja (who now speaks a mix of German and English) agrees whole-heartedly.
Und jetzt muss ich mich mit meiner Gans fuer Heiligabend beschaeftigen, d.h. mit dem Rezept. Eigentlich sollte ich ja eine von unseren Gaensen schlachten, aber das habe ich (mal wieder) nicht uebers Herz gebracht ... und das Rupfen ist eine Heidenarbeit. Also habe ich eine anonyme Gans im Supermarkt gekauft.
And now I have to deal with my goose for Christmas Eve, that is with the recipe. Actually I was supposed to butcher one of our geese but I just (again) did not have the heart to do it ... and plucking it is hard work. So I just bougth an anonymous goose in the supermarket.
